Thinking about installing a Fast intake on my C-6. The vert has an ATI-procharter on it. What kind of HP increase, If any, could I expect? Are there any other concerns I should be looking at? Thanks in advance.
I am not using one personally but I have heard that they pick up anywhere from 10-30 hp on blower applications. Assuming that you go with the 90mm. If you do use one, let me know what you get. I am also considering this for my ProCharger car.
I thank you guys for your valuable input on the FAST intake. The information was great, looks like all were against the addition. I will not put it on, maybe look for something else like smaller pulleys. Thanks again.
30rwhp and it requires the trailblazer ss TB for use with the ati. Pulleys dont add anything down low and just give you more wheel spin. Look for something that gets you more power down low.
Love Mine!!!!!!!!!!!!! My car was the test mule for this one... I had to learn about the Trail Blaser T.B. through trial and error; what a pain in the ***...
gained only 11rwhp and 14 rwtq when the car was n/a. But as part of a combination the car made 620rwhp and 518rwtq when it was at 5.5psi... This was much more than other 5.5psi ls2's without the fast intake... Since the install, we found the Trail Blaser T.B. was closing on extended pulls,so we went back to the stock T.B. flipped it upside down, extended the wiring harness 12 inches, and cut and added 1.25 inches to the power steerting fluid res mount to make room for the T.B. servo motor... All is well now, and the stocker (TB) stays open, so our flying mile this spring won't have the t.b. closing problem... 200mph here we come!!!
Would I recommend it... YES for F.I., and No for N/A if your not looking for every little bit of hp/tq you can add...
