I'm going to do some searching here, but what is the current take on which oil filter to buy for a C6? The manual says AC Delco PF44. I've looked at one store in town so far, and they didn't have any. I WONT buy Fram either.

Amsoil has one of their new filters, the Ea032, or the older SDF32. I think Mobil has one, the M-101 if memory serves but I would double check the Mobil number. Both are considered to be good oil filters.
I don't think they make the PF44 anymore, it's been replaced with the PF46. They do still make the UPF44 though, this is the Ultraguard Gold filter.
I much prefer a higher flowing filter though, such as the K&N HP1007, or a Wix filter (which is identical to NAPA Gold, Carquest Premium or Kralinator)
And don't forget, the LS7 uses a different filter as well as the 07 LS2 (they both use the PF48)
I am using the K&N oil filter. The part # is on the K&N site...I can't remember it off the top of my head. I bought mine at Autozone, and have seen them at Checker Auto Parts.
