Just wondering if anybody else has had this. When I turn my wheels, like in and out of a parking spot, it sounds like they are rubbing somewhere inside the fender. I can't see anything though and the tires don't have any type of wear marks. Anybody have this same thing??
I have a '05, manual trans and have had the problem of a rubbing sound at low speed, especially noticeable when moving through my parking garage. Car also seemed jerky with the clutch engaged at low speeds...5 mph.
Checked with the dealer and was told it was a problem in some '05's and 6's. Wrong fluids and additives used from factory.
The fix was a new "clutch pack" and correct fluids in differential. Service manager said it was a good thing I brought it to their attention because the clutch pack was a $2000 part.
It was repaired and covered by the warranty and what a difference it made. No more rubbing sound and smoother when turning at low speed
