Thanks Craig,
They dont open til this afternoon(central time).Im dropping the car off soon.I told them i had the 2005 & he said this was the Correct cam,but It says LS1..I dont know if you can use the LS1 in the Ls2?? Ill let you know what happens
I just spoke with a Tech(shane) at compcams & he stated the LS! fits the Ls1 & ls2 motor. He stated the cam that I have(even though it states Ls1)is the correct cam for my car.We discussed the springs & pushrods also & he stated they were correct. The serial# I gave him was UT5701-06 was The correct cam...Oh well,Off to the install

Good luck bud, please post some dyno #'s when the car is done. I'm also interested in swapping the cam but I'm not exactly sure if I can live with the rough idle. Is vettedoctors doing the install ?
The cams are interchangeable for the LS1 and LS2. As are the push rods, springs, pulley, gaskets, etc....
98% of the parts on the 2 blocks are the same.
The only difference you run into for a cam swap is the cam sensor, it is mounted on the front of the LS2. By teh way, your stock timing gear and chain are sufficient, unlike the LS1 stockers which needed to be upgraded for a cam swap.
Craig,
It reminds me of my 58 vette. Had a 3/4 cam, or something like that. A 283 cid with 2 4 barrel Rochesters, and a 489 rear,4speed T10 or muncie ,can't remember. Idle like crap, and got 8MPG. Sold it fr $1300 in 1965. It idled at 1300 rpm. Our C6's are doing 65 mph at the same RPM!

Thanks forum buddies for your help.I spoke with people at comp cams & Dave at MTI.You are correct with your information.Ill post a video of the final result on Monday,or tuesday
Is the sound in the clip from Procharger or from h/c? What causes the car sound like that? Exhaust alone or what? I saw many clips with prochargers sound like that, but I wonder how h/c sounds.
I had this cam...I sold my car a week ago or so...but my signature has video of the idle...I cant take credit though, a fellow forum member is now the proud owner.
Check out my sig, has Corsa Sport, H/C G1 cam from MTI set up.
