It's happened twice now. Accelerating onto the freeway, I get the bells and the warning that my right front tire is flat and I need to reduce speed. After about 30 seconds, the alarm clears. I happened to be on my way to the dealer for an oil change and had them investigate. They confirmed tire pressure was normal and nothing showed up on codes. Anyone experienced this and maybe a solution?
My dads Caddy did that all the time! At discount when they pulled the tire off to replace my worn one, they removed the sensor and took off the cover for the battery. The metal tab that the positive side of the battery touched, had some kind of rust or something on it. The guy cleaned it with an eraser, put the cover back on and reinstalled it. It must have gotten some moisture in it at some point or another. So when I would accelerate hard sometimes the connection would get lost, and the low tire pressure light would come on. This might be your same problem. I think that the ones on our cars are sealed though, so you might need to just buy a new sensor or have them replace it on warrenty. Tell them since they can't find a problem to just replace it, cause they are $65 a piece and you shouldn't have to spend your money for it.
