Default procharger question/got no help in FI section

For you procharger experts.......

I already have a PISC, l/t headers, thermostat.

I am thinking about porting the heads and intake and maybe a cam. I know that I should have probibly done the cam before the procharger, but I thought I would be satisfied with 525 at the tire............I should have known better LOL.

Question........ now the procharger/intercooler is already in..........is doing a cam a pain in the A** ? if so, what kind of gains would just heads and intake porting get me? I'm really looking for torque more than that much more HP.

Thanks for the input!

Are you dissatisfied with the torque with a Procharger installed? I am almost ready to pull the Procharger trigger and buy one.

you will probably see very little if any gains form porting the heads a supercharger is going to force air into the chamber no matter what. porting the heads will only reduce the backpressure just making it easier for the supercharger to do it's job your boost number will drop, but probably make about the same horse power. With a cam you should be able to get some more power out of it, however stock cams tend to be very good supercharger cams. Your best bet for more power would be to pulley down and get a GOOD tune.

Smaller pulley; a good tune. After boosting up to 10psi (at least another 100 hp!) you probably should start thinking fordged internals, a better clutch, and perhaps, a new iron differential from DTE. This will be my schedule for more fun.

LS2 is great setup for boosted application with 243 head castings & 2001 ZO6 cam . Pulley down to 9-10 psi and add ECS Meth kit and good tune for insurance for now till you are ready to pull the trigger on forged motor with blower cam, etc..These are cost effective mods & will work well with your current setup. If you need some feedback on FI related issues, you can also post in the C5 FI section where many "Horsepower Junkies" reside Good Luck with your mods
