Default B&B exhaust

Any cons to going with B&B route 66 exhaust over Borla or Corsa?
I have LG long tubes and I think I going to remove my cats and install a set of B&B axle back muffles.

Does anyone have dyno #'s with and without cats??

I have the rt66 on my 07. I do not have headers and there is a little drone around 1700 rpm. It is not bad at all, and the fit and finish of the B&B IMO is far superior to the rest.

I have a 2006 A6 with Route 66. Yes, they drone in the 1400-1700 rpm range. However, they sure offer a great sound.

Several have reported the drone increases a fair bit when combining the 66s and headers. Outside of the corsa this is true of all of them though so I think your pretty much stuck with drone if your not a corsa fan and want headers.

Keep in mind that there are two B&B systems. The Bullets are the louder, and do have some drone (I've had them on three different Corvettes).

The Route 66 system is quieter, and has almost no drone at all.

I had the RT66 system on my car for over a year with stock manifolds, but it started to drone too much for me once I added LG headers. On a few recommendations here, I bought the Magnaflow catback system to replace the B&B, and I'm very happy with it. It sounds just about identical to the RT66 system around town in the first few gears, but it has much less drone at highway speeds.

Just today Arizona Power and Sound installed my kooks in my 2007 Z51 MN6 which already had bullets with PRT. Took PRT out and now have X pipe and high flows cats. WOOOOOOOOOOOWWWW!!! LOUD! and heavy DRONE! But I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!! Exactly what a "look at me car" deserves. I cannot wait for the morning to go on a long... long drive.

LG's (or most any header) w/B&B are friggen loud!! You can expect to get some unwanted attn from the law. Just cut off your mufflers and weld on some tips!
As I have stated before, I have heard LG's with several exhaust options. IMHO GHL's and LG's sound bad a$$. Not as loud as headers with B&B but has a very nice deep rumble!

Yes, resonator only. Very high quality, fantastic sound. I have no drone with my m-6, just the sound of power. And the burble on over-run reminds me of the Muscle Car era. The smell of napalm in the morning and the sound of bullets! errrr Bullets...

Loud! I had bullets with PRT. 2 days ago had the headers (kooks) installed with x-pipe and high flow cats on my 07, z51, mn6. The PRT was not compatible so out it went. Again it is LOUD, but GREAT! Has deep rumbling and it screams when you step on it. It is a head turner... the sound of power!
