Default C6 Exhaust Help

I am sure this has already been beaten to dealth but, please advise. I have an 05 C6 with and Automatic. I would like to acutally hear this great car. I like a loud exhaust and my friend has the Corsa sport but its just to mellow "quiet" for me.

I was thinking about Flowmasters as they are priced very well. Opinions?

Also, the Magnaflow Cat back system 15844. Opinions?

How much difference is there in a full exhaust (NO HEADERS) with X pipe or just mufflers? Performance gains to expect? Worth the extra money?

I want loud but not so loud the cops will be pulling me over. I do love the sound of those 1990's mustangs.

Last, how much should a muffler shop charge me to do the install here in the good ol USA?

Thank You

You have to be careful with the A4 tranny.

I like LOUD also, so I bought B&B Bullets and the DRONE was unbearable.

I switched to Magnaflow #15884s, no drone, but maybe a bit mellow for my taste.
At least I can hear my car though.

For $350 I would take a shot at the Flowmaster catback.

I have Corsa Sports on my manual tranny C6, with headers they are probably the sound you are looking for.

I have Corsa sports behind X-pipe and headers on my 05 A4. I love the sound. No drone on the highway, like NASCAR when WOT, but only about 10% louder than stock at idle.

Sounds like you want GHL or Borla Stingers (or B&B Bullets if you want it REALLY loud). Magnaflow and Flowmaster are relatively tame.

I have GHLs on my 05 C6 auto. Love - em since March, 2006.

I have the "Corsa Sport" with dual 4" tips on my wife's car and we both love them. They are "top" quality and sound great at WOT and are tame at cruise. I don't think you would be disappointed at all.
