Default Unscrewing Braided Line

Has anyone undone the beaided hose that goes through the fuel rail cover? Will this cause any problems after re-connection such as an air pocket or other disaster?

I take it off all the time. It does not unscrew it it a fuel line and is released using a fuel line release tool. There is no adverse affect. When you put it back together there may be a slight hesitation to start because of loss of fuel pressure but that's pretty much it.

Be SURE to use the correct release tool. Inexpensive, but worth their weight in gold. Don't use it, and you will damage the fitting.

most suggest against removing it, that is why the fuel rail cover has a split in it

This removal would be a one time thing. New painted and high polished covers going on. Don't want to bend and scratch during installation.
