I have a 2007 and like to always have a plan for the worst. If my 2007 happens to die on the side of the road with no way to crank the engine. What is best way to get it on the back of a flatbed? Will the tranny shift to N with no power at all? I know there is a best and worst way to get this done.. lay it on me.
well.. its not really that hard..
first I assume you know how to open the c6 with no power....
you can attach jumper cables, a jump box, or a charger to the battery.... then push brake..pull out of gear...
but if I am to assume there is a major elect. problem with the car there is a spot on the shifter (ill send pictures tomorrow) you push to bypass the shifter lock..
then pull out of gear..
then there is always that case...
no keys and your stuck with a tow truck driver that hasn't seen a c6 let alone tow one... you can lift the rear and detatch the shifter mechanism from the trans...
then the worst... a major mechanical failure..
they can lift the rear tires and pull it up on the flat bed...
