Default MSD's LS2 Coils

Multi-Spark Coils for LS2

Direct replacement multiple sparking coils for many GM Gen-III engines
Advanced circuitry produces three times the spark energy of stock coils
Direct plug-in to the factory harness

They said it couldn’t be done, but they haven’t met MSD’s engineers! At last, a high-performance, multi-spark replacement coil for the remarkable GM Gen-III small block!

The complex electronic controls of the Gen-III engine management system presented MSD engineers a substantial challenge, as the control drivers are built into the OE coils. We were able to design an advanced circuit that will operate with the factory electronics of the Gen-III engine controls while producing a higher output spark. Not only do you get a higher voltage spark, but the coil will deliver multiple sparks! That’s right - multiple spark discharge coils!

This version of the MSC is for GM’s LS2 variant, and will provide significantly more spark than the stock components. These coils produce up to three times the spark energy of the stock coils plus they deliver multiple sparks to help keep the engine clean at an idle. This new kit provides everything you need to install the MSCs on your car, including eight coils and mounting hardware.

Our regular retail for this part # (82478) is $719.99 and the current sale price -$639.99.

Hey Tom,

Ubnrelated post.

Thanks so much for the help rethe acquisition of the Predator handheld tuner...it has worked out very well so far on my Mont. Red '07 C-6 A6 coupe...better power and better MPG too.. which, I really didn't expect. Quite frankly, I was apprehensive and had a WTF attitude, given my previous negative experiences and not-so-hot customer service from DiablSports on my '04 C5 Moded LS1 MN6, two years ago. It appears, that the Predator product is a lot better now wrt to the LS2 and is a good value, although truthfully I wouldn't have gambled $4C unless it was coming from Tbyrne Motorsports...y'all have a good rep with the boyz!

Still doing the dyno tune (tomorrow as a matter of fact) on the more modified Black '06 MN6...we'll soon see how many RWHP and RWT improvement results....hopefullly not at the expense of driveability...but other guys have said no problema!!

End game for the '06 is a Procharger and re-tune...maybe in April after the winter Tuna and Sword season profits (hopefully...but in fishing ya nevah know!)

Thanks again.

Later 'bro

Bernie

NOt at all, this would be a great upgrade for someone who say is running a lot of nitrous or a blower setup. For someon on a stock setup, you could run a larger gap on your spark plug, then with some cleaner spark plug wires, you would probably pick up a little gas mileage, and notice a little better idle, and smoother running at higher rpms, maybe even a tad faster revving of the engine, the common effects of a high ouput ignition system. But I have seen guys running 150 shot of nitrous with the stock coils no problem, so this would not be a necessary upgrade, but for some, stock is still, stock, and better, is better.

Hey Bernie! It was good talking to you and I'm glad we could help! Hope the fishing season is good for you

We're going to continue this special through Sunday (1/7). Confirming the part numbers along with sale pricing and note for LS1 owners -

82458 MSD Blaster Coil kit for LS1/LS6 engines $495.99
82468 MSD Blaster Coil kit for LS1/LS6 engines $559.99

(note for LS1: Thanks to a different connector, not all Gen III engines will accept the MSC, PN 8245 Coil (Kit PN 82458). For those applications, MSD has introduced the MSC II Coils (8246/82468) These Coils have all of the same features of the PN 8245 Coil plus mount in the factory location and accept the factory connectors. The early style has the plug and electrical connection on the same side while the later style has them on opposite sides.)

LS2 owners don't need the info about but it's always good to know

82478 MSD Blaster Coil Kit for LS2 engines $639.99

Different connectors and mounting scheme. AFAIK, they are internally identical.
