06' going in to Straightline Performance after New Years, parts already ordered, here is what I'm getting, your thoughts?
1) stainless kooks headers
2) Corsa X-Pipe
3) Corsa sport exhaust
4) VaraRam air box
5) Ported / Polished Intake
6) Ported throttle body
7) Pro tune w/ before & after Dyno
What kind of HP gains can I expect. Are these good first mods?
Yep, ditch the xpipe at least. Gives almost nothing and ya gotta toss it anyways if you decide to do headers. The catback isnt worth much either but at least ya get sound out of that.
Excellent way to start modding. My 2c - I'd ditch the Corsa pipes and mufflers, get some $379 Flowmasters or $150 Magnaflow 14336's (like I did) and put the savings toward a set of 390 gears. The gears will give you more real performance gain and SOTP gain than any of the mods you are going to do by a factor of 10. They are worth about .3-.4 in the quarter and believe me you feel that in your daily driving.
i agree with ditching the cat back, there isn't that much power to be pick up...if you are doing it because you like the $1000+ sound who am i to judge. any ways, with all your mods and a GOOD TUNE, you should be around 390rwhp maybe a little more.

imo, this is a good start. the corsa catback is a little quiet for my taste but to each his/her own.
the only item i would question is no. 7. i know, i know, don't go stirring the pot but imo, a good tune is a hard thing to find. just ask yell03.
some argue a tune is required with headers, etc. but that has not been my findings. sure a good tune will help any car but you really got to be careful who you let tinker with your computer.
