nope, your fine. 3M is perfectly safe on factory paint from the day you buy it, its even guaranteed to. It works as well as the old fashiond vinyl car bras but are nearly invisible. What color is your car?

Its about the best technology in clear film paint protection out there. It is almost invisible on my machine silver. There are several "cut" patterns out there. Make sure you pick the one you like before ordering. Just about all of the patterns have at least one seam. The crucial selection is the installer.
I was in the factory to watch mine built in 4/05 and did a NCM delivery. I was advised to wait 4 weeks to insure the paint was cured. That was 4 weeks from build date. I drove it home with a regular bra and then did the 3M after 4 weeks had elapsed. Had to do the same thing when my Motorhome front end was repainted and again it was the recommendation from the folks that provided the pre cut 3M film. 3M is much better than a bra. A bra will ultimately damage the area it covers unless the underside is cleaned regularily to prevent even a spec of dirt to get under it and abrade the paint. Also you can get the 3M film precut to protect the headlamps, fog lamps, rockers and areas behind each fender well depending on how much you want to do. I sure protects my Mag Red!!!
