Low oil level!

Low oil level!
I posted a week or so ago about the oil pressure sending unit/sensor going bad when my gauge pegged at 80. Got a lot of response and even pictures on how to do it myself. We'll driving today my Low oil level light comes on-checked it and put about 1/2 qt in because a change is due shortly. Does this have anything to do with the bad oil pressure seding unit/sensor or am I lookin at another piece to replace.
