Anybody installed the Momo polished aluminum ball shift ****? Any pictures or helpful tips appreciated. Also, if you have an experience, good/bad with replacing the shift ****.
I didn't realize this. Shoot me a URL if you please!
Thanks!
Momo offers around 50 different styles, they are universal and come with assorted sleeves to fit any shaft, I replaced the shifter in my C5Z with a Momo after I installed a ripper shifter and really liked it. Sparco makes many styles too.

I was under the impression the C6 shifter was different from the C5 - and therefore C5 shift ***** would not fit it. I didn't think the "universal" shift ***** would fit either. Glad to hear we have options for the C6.

Sweet! Thx.
The shifter is different but the shift lever has the same threads as far as I know.
and probably none on the 05 or 06 from what I've read here.
The stock **** slides down and is held with the torx head screw. I'm not sure you would get a MoMo with the set screws to stay on the way the shaft is slightly tapered.

The momo uses 3 set screws instead of one, works pretty slick.
I got this idea from the Z06 guys who were trying to cure a shifter rattle. The Speed-X goes on with three set screws and is not moving around so far on my 07's stock shifter, I did not look at the Momo parts though. No spacers and no slop, really nice to my eyes. And no, there are no threads on the shifter.
I will be making a true cue ball version towards spring and will post when I get it in...it will use the factory hole and screw though.
GPK
FWIW when I asked VY427 for an idiots guide to replacement he sent me a GREAT description if any one else has q's

I relpaced my 6 spd shift **** with a 2 1/8" dia. off-white cue ball type **** from Flameball this weekend. Looks great and sits lower than the stock **** making the shifting distance in the gates feel shorter and more precise. Install was a pain due to the nylon sleeve insert being a virtual interference fit with the shaft. Once on the **** is tightened with 3 pre-loctite set screws. Very solid. No rattles or movement.
