Car being Dismantled
Well,, I took my car in to the shop for a rear end grease leak,,,, it was dripping on the floor ,, every time we took it out. So I ran it up to the shop on monday and low and behold,, there is some seal up in the gear case that is leaking , and they have to take out the tranny and the rearend to replace it. Apparently they called GM to determine what would need to be done. Anyway ,, anyone else have this done?? Anything I should ask for while this is being done?

I had my rear axle seals replaced under warranty at about 7,000 miles. Since the tech couldn't ID the problem visually he also replaced the cover that houses the seal on the side that was leaking. I now have 14,000 miles with no further problems.
