Default OBD2 code reader help

I got a new code reader today. It says to connect with ignition off then turn the ignition on but do not start the engine. On a C6 does that mean AUX on?

no, it doesn't mean aux. hit the start botton, but don't start it. (if you have manual leave the clutch alone)...it is kinda like key on engine off, if you know what i mean.

I think you hold the bottom part of the start button for few seconds and it goes into the on mode.

Now, where is the connection for the OBDII reader on the C6?

The connection is on the bottom of the dash right above your knee. Look for the slot.

It's mean push the "ACC" button then turn off the car.

Push and hold down the lower edge of the start switch. Hold for about 10 seconds. The computers will fire up without the motor starting. This gives access to all the gauges (coolant and oil temp, for example).

It also causes sensors to report to the ECU/PCM, which allows the ODBII reader to capture data.

that's how i read mine with my innova 3030 reader.

i leave it in reverse, plug the scanner in, hit the acc button, let it read, then unplug it and press the off button when done.
