Ok from what I think I understand. Cats must get hot to work is that correct so far. Cats also are the main culprit for cabin heat. When coating headers do you normally coat the cats as well. If not would it be a good Idea ? The heat would stay inside the cats but limit the exterior heat. What do you think ???
My LG cats are coated and I've had no problems. One guy said that if they get too hot, they cause the computer to dump more fuel, but my mileage didn't change.

tommy, there is no cat temp sensor that tells the pcm the cats are too hot. pcm use other temp sensors to make this assumption, so coating the cats will not cause the pcm to dump more fuel and i am not suprise your mileage didn't change. btw thoes coat headers / x pipe looks great.

Do the LG come coated or how much more did you have to pay for Jet coating.
