.....the back of the muffler cans? What would be the best paint to use on the stainless? Hi-temp flat black? How did it look? I,too, am not crazy about the 'semi-ricer look' of the shiny cans from the back. Thanks.
Havnt painted mine but you'll prob at a minimum need to use high-temp paint. Flat black would work as it looks like they used flat black on the factory cans.
I painted the backs of my Corsa's before I installed them. Roughed up the finish a little with some fine grit emory paper and used HiTemp flat black paint. So far it's held up well (8 months).

Painted mine also with Hgh Temp paint for BBQ's. Firts couple of coats went on very thin. It's held up for a year with no issues.

Krylon or Rustoleum barbeque black. Krylon seeems to go on more evenly and dries quicker. Make sure you prep the suface good removing any oils or contamination. Apply 2 to 3 light coats allowing for drying in between.
i didnt see my corsa system until i was at the shop to get it installed.
one look and i knew i wouldnt like all the SS back there. while the mechanic was taking off my stock exhaust, we painted the cans flat black using engine block paint. came out nice

Painted mine
about a year and a half ago. It was a hi-temp flat black but don't remember the brand. Has held up just fine. Clean the backs then spray away. Looks MUCH better.

I painted the cans with a Flat Black Hi-temp spray paint before the install. Its painted all the way right before the Chrome tips. To me it looks way better than that Stainless look. Its been almost 2 years now and no sign of paint chips.
Call me nuts, but I like the stainless backs showing.
yeah...i would say you're nuts
whats sexy about a pair of big *** shiney muffler cans exposed for all to see when they are driving behind your car? mufflers need to be hidden, tips are to be shown.
i'd rather install truknutz before i drive around with 2 sheetmetal cans hanging under my car.
