Bassani
It arrived this evening and it looks to be a very well made kit. I can't wait to get it installed, if and when the weather warms up in Houston. Some pics for your viewing pleasure. I will try to take some before and after video clips as well.
Bassani etched in all the huge 4 inch tips

I used an adult beverage in this pic for scale purposes

the kit broken down

a quick living room fit up. Notice the single muffler! it has a bassani x built into it

not the best pic of the x, but hopefully you can get the idea.

I will report back when the install is completed. I picked up a callaway honker this past weekend as well, so it will be hard to distinguish which yielded results if any at all. I am just looking to increase the sound quality. way too quiet from the factory........
Enjoy
I can't wait to get it installed
just cut them off the mufflers.

to put on my 06. I have had both Corsa and Magnaflow on other
Vettes, but willing to try another brand. Have even considered
headers and high-flow cats, but I have time. Here in Ohio, Vettes
are usually hibernating so I have till spring to decide.

Besides, I will probably never sell this car anyway
I will let you know on the tips. I am planning to install the exhaust this weekend.
I am supposed to have a couple buddies come by Friday evening to give me a hand (they usually just provide moral support and drink beer with me)
I am not anticipating any problems, but if I run into a snag I will certainly give you a call.
Thanks

Impressions: The bassani is awesome. It has a very unique sound and it is LOUD when you step on the loud pedal, yet hardly even noticeable at freeway cruising speed. There is drone under mild acceleration at varying RPM but these are only under load and seem to neutralize once a steady speed is reached.
The honker is a very well made kit as well with phenominal instructions. Color pictures the works. It is a PITA to get the shroud out and back in but it all seems to worth it in the end.
The bassani directions SUCK. To sum it up, it says remove old exhaust and install new exhaust but don't tighten clamps until you are done and start at the back. No pictures, no diagrams, nothing. With that being said though the kit is fairly straight forward and anyone that played with lincoln logs or legos as a kid can figure it out
I am attaching some pictures as well as a short video clip. The video is from my digital camera and the quality is not the best and the sound definitely doesn't do it justice.
I would definitely recommend this kit to anyone and at $760 shipped I think it was a very good deal.

getting it up in the air. I only had to raise the rear of the car, the front was high enough on the rhino ramps. I used the crossmember from northern tool with my trusty 3 ton floor jack. supported the crossmember with jack stands and removed the jack. I had plenty of room to work with using this method.

the stock setup prior to removal, also a good shot of how I supported the vehicle

a couple of shots after the factory exhaust was removed

the new x-pipe muffler assembly. notice the 2 tabs welded on top, those are the mounting points and use the existing spring hangers that use to suspend the factory h-pipe very slick

bassani tips installed, these things are HUGE 4" and they clean up really nice too

a shot of the muffler in it's new home

If anyone would like to know where I got the kit for such a good price, shoot me a PM and I am glad to share.

The sound is different than any other system I have heard. I wish the video could better produce the sound, but with computer speakers and digital cameras it is hard to reproduce the sound.
They have an option for best offer. I offered them $700 and they countered with $760 shipped. As far as installation.....I would guess around $100-150. Best of luck to you
If you go with headers that work with this center muffler, i.e. bassani, or B&B the sound should be more tolerable then just the rear with headers and standard x pipe.
