I personally would not wash mine at a car wash. I like using Mcquire's car wash soap. I would stay away from dish soap, as it tends to be a little harsher and will remove wax.

Any mild car wash soap and make sure you get a good coat of wax on thing asap. Also, I use terry cloths to wash and a soft terry towel to dry the car. Armor all the tires and you are good to go. I actually enjoy washing my vette

a big bucket, a water hose, an old t-shirt, etc., etc.

actually i like my results when i use harley-davidson sunwash (soap). nothing beats a good ole handwash, dry, and wax. zanio seems to be the most popular wax/finish. but i haven't seen too many soap recommends.

I always wash my car by hand, here's what I use.

1. Sheepskin washmitt
2. Zaino "Show Car Wash" Z-7
3. 2 buckets (1 soap, 1 rinse)
4. Leafblower to dry 95% of the car
5. Finish with "Guzzler" microfiber towel

A good hand wash at home using quality brand name supplies beats an automatic car wash (aka: scrape 'n scratch ) every time and also helps one bond with their Corvette as well.
In an emergency or in cold climates (like we get here sometimes) you can go to a quality hand car wash establishment as well.

Mequiars Car Shampoo, a nice (not cheap) wash mitt, a silicone blade to squeegy water off, and microfibre towels for what you missed. Forget car washes. Even the touchless ones use crappy detergent and sometimes questionably recycled water. Having lived in Hotston, you rarely have weather that you can't do it yourself. Great therapy! Get some Quick Detailer and a Car Duster for between washes. Have fun!

I wash my C6 daily driver at home once a week with a sheepskin mitt and bucket for washing and microfiber towels for drying. Only takes about 30 minutes with my wife helping with the drying. Every 3 months or so, I take it to Bubbles for an off-rack hand wash and hand wax.

I love washing my cars. The Vette is alot easier than the F250 Crew Cab
Just got the vette 2 weeks ago and got a coat of wax on it right away. I use Adams products.

I use Mequiars. I have a set of towels set aside for drying the car. I wash the towels without softeners which will damage wax. Find a nice soft sponge with separate mitt and brushes for wheels. GM warns against car washes. Besides, they don't get door jams, engine compartment and insides of wheels. Between washes I use Mequiars Quick Detailer to remove tree sap, bird droppings etc.

I was out blowing off the car yesterday with my leafblower and people
were walking by stopping and watching me blow off the car.
One guy said that was a damn good idea, he had never thought of doing that.
I know it gets all the water from around the tail lights and around the doors.
