I have used Optima red tops in my C5s, will this battery fit the C6 and is it the best battery for it, I have heard pos and cons about the Optima, I have had good luck with them over the years.
Thanks
I perfer the AC Delco Professional Series battery.
I purchased a new Optima Red Top and it would not start the car. The new Optima was dead and would not take a charge. Some guys say the Optima does not last long.
C.O.W. suggested a marine type battery for my c6 conv. with manual tran. because i do not use the car that often. They said it would tend to hold it`s charge longer. Can anyone suggest one?

my optima yellow has lasted forever.. i let it sit for over a year then hooked up my CTEK and the battery hasn't let me down yet. I really like the high cold cranking amps and overall couldn't be more pleased. I've had it for over three years now.
I ran my stereo for a couple hours the other day while cleaning
my 2007, the "low battery" message came on in the DIC, then
the car would barely start.
I have the BOSE, but would not think it would kill the battery that
fast.
I wonder if the stock battery is just a weak model.

Hmm. I do that all the time with my '07(base stereo) and have no problems. It's usually on for 1.5-3 hours depending on what I'm doing. I just set it to accessory mode. It'll turn itself off after about 20 min. Then I just flick it back on again. Never had any problems starting her up.
