Default headlight issue on 2006 C6

Small crack and moisture found in right headlamp, crack was inconspicuous so missed it at delivery, dealership for warranty said it was not a warranty issue, the headlight was damaged in a very minor tap. which i was nor aware of. CarFax shows no record of any accident, I fixed the crack, and dried the moisture and bought a new low beam light bulb (Pricey), installed as carefully as needed, but light still does not work, fuses are good, relay seems to actuate since the left low beam works.
the dealer wants 1200 bux for the headlamp plus labor, my question is, is there a junction or a connection somewhere else i need to look. I found a disconnected wire harness lead to the underhood light so i am sure there might be something for that headlight.
i did not plan on buying this corvette and spent some dough just buying it. dealer i bought it from did say his daughter did tap the front in the garage when she used it, and replaced the front panel before i took delivery, but the light always worked. any help here is appreciated.dr

Take it back to the dealer and complain until they fix it, and call GM and file a complaint as well. It's BS that they sold you a car theydamaged didn't disclose it to you BEFORE you bought it. Good luck and give em hell!

Default complain

Better complain and shake the bushes until something falls out. Those headlight assy's are like $1200.00 or more each. I would not take that answer and get stuck with a future repair that you know will be there to fix sooner or later.

The headlight asembly is vented from the factory. It sounds like you have accident damage to the assembly. Accident damage is NOT covered by Warranty, let the Dealer that sold you the car fix it at their expense.

Or if they won`t file and insurance claim. Tell them someone must have hit it in a parking lot.

GM has no control over damage that occurs after the vehicle is delivered to the dealer. This issue is between the vehicle owner and the dealer, and does not involve GM.
