Yes. The shifter itself is the same, but the bushings its mounted with are different. The Z06 shifter has the same throw fore and aft, but a bit less throw side-to-side (due to less bushing slop) and a much more positive feel.
I replaced mine a month ago and think its a real improvement. I've heard a rattle or two, but not enough to bother me.
It should be possible to mod the bushings, say by cutting out the rubber inserts and fabricating some metal inserts for much less money than the whole shifter costs.
