Has Anyone Left The Z51 Brakes Up Front And Put Z06 Brakes In Rear I Like The Z51 Look Up Front And Z06 Rear Want To Know Will It Work

I don't know if they will work or not, but you will likely lose the careful "balancing" of the brakes GM engineers put into the Z51 package, changing the piston sizes to get the front/rear brake balance just right for the track.

Please don't try this. Yes, with different wheels using the correct width and offset, the Z06 brakes are a bolt on. And with active handling, that would probably keep you straight when braking. But the AH would be working all the time, attempting to keep the rears from pre-mature lockup. Why not put both fronts and rears on the car with the correct wheels? Attempting to re-engineer something as critical to a car's performance as the braking system by mixing components without having a clue as to what you're doing is a receipe for a trip to the hospital,............. or worse.
