I'm running LG Pro Long Tubes with the stock catback on my 2006. It's my only car so I have to drive it every day. The headers really woke up this car!

I go in Monday, and that is exactly what I am hoping for. I already have Rte66's and am having ARH's installed.
Good stainless steel headers, properly installed, should not compromise the dependabality of a daily driver. A good ceramic coating will help keep the heat inside the pipes, lighting off the cats quicker, and avoiding throwing a CEL. Remember, it will take a few miles for the computer to recalculate the fuel maps after the install. Personally, I don't think a tune is necessary after installing headers. Not saying that a good performance tune could add a few horses.

When you say woke up this car, do you mean sound too? How do the new headers sound compared to the stock headers w/ the same catback? Thanks,
John

No, I meant performance. It added 39 ft lb of torque in the mid range and 26 rwhp. The car is much quicker. However, it does sound better also. It's a little louder at idle, I don't notice much of a difference at cruise, and it sounds a lot better at WOT.

If you have a manual or six spd auto(paddles) you'll hear a nice growl on down shifting....not goofy and bubbly like mustangs flowmasters, but throaty and menacing. My HP went up quite a bit too with the headers, tune and mild cam I gained over 80 flywheel HP.
