Default How to install a fan switch?
Anybody installed a fan switch on their C6? I would like to have a switch so that my fan is running at launch at the track.

Wow! $250! I bought a $3 switch for my 98 Camaro and wired it myself. Just don't know how with the new car. Thanks though.

this you never have to turn on and it doesnt interfear with the other computers and the car always stays a consistant temp at line and very cool on the road

I'm sure the Cartech is a good one but I really just need one for temporary used as I have an HP Tuner coming, hopefully. I ordered it on the 26th and it's still not here. I want to go to the track this weekend and need the fans running so I don't get that timing retard above 200 degrees.

the cartek fan switch comes on at 181 no tuning can do that. thats why there cars are faster and can be hot laped and still run same time

Not easy to control the C6 fans, as they are variable speed. A simple switch won't cut it.

HPTuners can, unless they've taken that feature out since I bought it for my '01 LS1. I can't imagine why they would. I had my fan set to come on at 170 and it always did with no problem.

they did i think its 191 why do you think they made the switch
