Default Proven Heads/ Cam Combinations

I would appreciate it if some of our H/C-modifying forum members would sound-off on the combinations of heads and cams that they have tried on the C6 and the results/gains achieved.

I am particularly interested in level of power reached?
Track proven results?
Driveability?

I have an 07 Z51 M6 that I am considering modifying with a H/C setup. I am curious if others are achieving anywhere near the 490 rwhp that LG is advertising in their new package (along with LG headers, the new manifold, intake, etc.) Thanks.

I hit 470 in my A4 with 3200 stall (which would be 490ish in a 6spd) with LPE Stage III heads (60cc, 2.055/1.57) and a little street friendly 224/228 cam, FAST intake, UD pulley, LPE CAI and MAF. Runs great, and is a monster.

I took it to a friend's track (dragstrip), and ran an 11.57/124 on 305 Bridgestone street tires with stock 3.15 gears.

We just unstrapped a C6 off our dyno with our newest Heads/Cam setup. It put down 485.28rwhp with our mild "C" Cam and Trick Flow heads. We have a new cam under development that should break the 500rwhp #.

Ron, nice track numbers there

We're moving closer and closer to that package you have (except Stage II heads).

Do you have any video of your car?

Suggest you ask this over in the tuner forum as well. There is a lot of good combo's and when they need to be tuned after install the tuner is the one who will then tell you if it was a good combo or not.

Thanks, guys. These are exactly the kind of responses I was looking for. Please keep 'em coming.

For whatever reason, I did not realize how much power you H/C guys were squeezing out of the LS2.

Steven, don't forget the fact that 485 was with the small heads meant for a 3.900 bore. We still gotta try the bigger heads with the new cam. I'm thinking 500-525 rwhp heads/cam combo!

On our old setup making 454 rwhp, we've gone 10.9 @ 127. At that time there wasn't the tuning software that there is now.

Our newer setups are making 500+ rwhp with our heads and our 4x cam. They should be much deeper in the 10s.

We've got a real good handle on the H&C setups.

Cartek

Looking for the somethingthing still, What would you reccomend for a cam to go with my 225 TEA Trickflows/Fast 90 ported set up ? I daily drive it at times but is not my primary vehicle. I would be installing it myself and would have hours upon hours of tuning at disposal.Thanks.

I had a head/cam package installed by you last July. Is there better tuning offered by you now that wasn't available then?
