I did the search, but can't find the thread on the clutch pedal spring failures. Mine broke today, while in stop and go traffic. I really don't notice any difference in pedal pressure, smoothness of engagement, or anything. But as soon as I heard the Ka-boeiging, I knew what had happened, and when I got home, sure enough, half the spring was in the floorboard. Can someone refresh my poor ol' memory. Is there any issues with driving the car with this spring broken? Should I even consider a trip to the service department to have it repaired? Thanks for the info.

Hey, never mind everyone. I found the threads on the spring failure. Think I typed in "clutch podle failure"!

Mine did the same thing. Yes you need to get it fixed as it will help keep you from riding the clutch which will ruin the throw-out bearing. Excuse my spelling, not sure about the "throw-out" bearing.
