General rule, every 100lbs = .1 tenth on the 1/4...So roughly 2,300lbs for the c6..
It seems doubtful, but I wonder if one could actually strip 900 unessential lbs. out of a C6? That would make for one fun race car! Give the boot to the passenger seat, radio, carpets, etc.
18 gal tank, leave one gallon of gas for the 1/4 mile race, saves 119lbs
carpet mats, 5lbs
washer fluid, 7lbs
swap out runflats for non runflats, saves 24lbs total
swap out stock air box for conical filter, saves 5lbs
remove passenger seat, saves 55lbs
add royal purple instead of mobil 1, add 3 hp
....man, forget it, it'd take way too much to get down to 2400 lbs. Just get heads and cam and headers and blow the Z's off the road.LOL>

Ummmmmmmmm.......NOT
You may be at the same HP, but what about traction? Or if you meant a road course it would be even worse.
Not saying it couldn't be done....hell, there's plenty of modded C6's on here that would hand my Z its behind...but not under the parameters you've set.

I was joking!!! The Z is a Bad@$$. I know even at same HP, the Z is faster.
Another weight vs. horsepower formula I use is every 7lbs. you lose or gain equals 1hp. So to pick up 100hp you need to lose 700lbs. If you're really fat, just go on a diet, otherwise, pull some parts off of your car

This .1 tenth rule is fairly accurate. But it was a hypothetical question, I think. Can 900lbs be shaved off a vette? Highly unlikely since the body panels are plastic..
