Default Clearing Omission Code

Installed Kooks on 07. Now experiencing Check Engine for Emissions. I had the exact headers on my 05 with no lights? Anyway, until I can make it to a tuner, can you press any buttons on the DIC to clear codes manually?

No can do. You can temporarily clear the CEL by OBD II scanner or disconnect battery for 10 minutes.

If the code is an omission code is it really there or has it just been omitted? Anyway with the C6 you can't play with the DIC and delete the codes, get a scanner. Then get a tune and take care of the problem.

Do not get a tune just to clear the code. More than likely your code is 420 and 430, catalyst system efficiency below threshold, you can beat these codes with 02 sensor simulators which screw into the o2 sensor itself. I have an 07 with kooks just like you. You can read several threads I started on the check engine light subject looking to beat it. Since I install the simulators no check engine light for over 600 miles and counting. PM and I'll give you the website as they are not forum vendors. The cost was <$30.00.

Default I'm having the same problem

I'm having the same problem and just installed my Kooks. Check it out on www.robs427.com. My codes are P0420 and P0430. I cleared them with a CAN scanning tool. I called a shop in Denver to chassis dyno tune the car, but they aren't ready for a Z06 yet and suggested I get some O2 simulators. I'm not sure that's the fix I'm looking for, but the guy said he has some out of state tuners that he uses on cars he can't write to the ECM and they routinely just cut the rear O2 sensor out of the read program.
