Default Recommendations for Trans Fluid and Diff fluid replacement???

I am looking at recommendation for changing the fluids out in my April 2006 built Z51 6-speed trans and in the diff. There is a lot of proucts out there. Any shared experiences would be great. Thanks!

For the manual tranny, I used Royal Purple Synchromax to smooth out the rough syncho action when the fluid was cold. This stuff works great! Plus thanks to those on this forum for the advise!

For the diff, I just used the GM recommended fluid & additive. Works great. No noises & no chatter.

I use Amsoil products and have been very pleased with their products. I have their Svere Gear 75W-90 and the GM limited slip fluid and it cleared up the chatter. I am going to change my A4 to Amsoil ATF.

6 speed doesn't need oil change so soon.

I put a new a DeWitt radiator in my car, so I have to refill the trans anyway. I figured I would put something better in it since I was going through the hassel anyway.

I went with the royal purple max gear oil 75w90 for the differential, this oil comes with an additive so you just pour it straight, chatter is now gone, one thing I noticed was that approx 2 1/8- 2 1/4 qts drained out (although the capacity specs say 2qts). I tried to put the same amount that drained out, back in by raising the rear end when filling.

The AMSOIL ATF for the tranny and the AMSOIL Severe Gear Extreme Pressure Synthetic 75w90 meet the GM specs for your C6 Z51.

I've been running those fluids for three seasons now in my 02 Z06 without any problems.
