I'm about to pull the plug on some new rubber but I want to go a bit wider in order to bring the tire almost flush with the outside fenders. I am using stock wheels and stock suspension height.
I did a search and found a couple places where folks have talked about changing the front vs rear ratios causing problems with the traction control.
Does anyone know what the widest tire size is that still keeps the ratios? I was thinking about 255/40-18 in the front and 295/35-19 in the rear.
Those are the sizes I'm running with BFG KDW2's. Close to the limit of tire size for wheel width but acceptable. Front to rear ratio is almost identical and the speedometer change isn't enough to worry about.
