Wierd Noise from Engine 05 C6
So my wife and I went and picked our vette up about 2 and a half weeks ago and we have been enjoying it greatly, but I have noticed that when we punch it and then RPM's get over 3k up till about 5K we get a Mechnical almost metal on metal clatter from under the hood. It does it sometimes and other times it does not. It doesnt matter if it is cold or hot. Has anyone ever heard of this?

I never had that but there was an issue with some of the 05's where the vibration damper would loosen to the point it would fall off. You might want to do a search and see if your car falls in the VIN range. At least I believe it was identifiable by VIN. Guess the other way would be to try and move the damper, engine off of course. I'm sure more knowledgeable people will chime in, but if it is loose, Do Not Drive it and risk further damage.
