Default Where is XM receiver located?

iCarKits has an iPod conection system that interfaces thru the Xm receiver. It sounds like it is a plug in system that can be quickly installed. You retain all existing radio features including navagation and the iPod is controled thru the radio or steering wheel controls! Has anyone installed this system? Does it work as claimed? Where exactly is the XM receiver located? It is supposed to be somewhere in the rear of the car.

On a coupe the XM receiver is over the drivers side rear wheel well, just pull back the carpeting and you should find it.

It sits in a cradle mount and is a little tricky to remove, but it will come out enough to work on it.

On a vert it is located under the waterfall between the two front seats.

Thanks!! I have a vert so I'm off to locate it. I ordered an iCarKit P/n PA11-VET for a 2007 corvette. I sound like this thing will integrate perfectly with the existing radio controls.

Let us know how this thing works..I would be very interested! It sounds awesome..I'd like to get some feedback. Did you get good pricing on it? Wonder if you can get it for cheaper than 180 bucks!

Here is the link for it for others interested..

There have been several threads on this model. Sounds like it does it's job at a basic level but is crude.

Thanks for the thread..hopefully they have made improvements since that review was done (10/06).

Anyone know if the '07's have an ipod interface? If they do, I wonder how much it would be just to swap out the radio in '05/'06's to accomplish the same goal..the icarkit is already almost $200.
