Default normal oil temp

What is the normal operating oil temp that you guys are seeing on your c6.I just bought a brand new 07 with 600 miles on it and im seeing 210 and 220 when its been sitting still. Thanks Ryan

...that's about where our '05 settles when it's warmed up (around 210* - 215*).

This weekend, at 65-70 mph in sixth gear (~1700 rpm), ambient temperature around 50 degrees, I saw 213-216 degrees oil temperature, coolant temperature 196-198 degrees, and oil pressure 37-39 psi.

I see 214 while cruising most of the time in normal weather.

On longer drives i am around 214, in my 06 a6. Most days i dont get over 110 since i am one mile from work.

I installed the 160 stat and had a tune done, the temp average is around 178-185 average driving, and oil temp is 198-205.

However with the stock set up your numbers are on par.

I find my 06 c6 a6 oil temperature about 20* degrees higher than coolant temperature, coolant temperature runs 200*.

above 212 is good. it keeps the moisture cooked off. below that moisture forms and that combines to make acids, thats bad. never getting to full operating temp is real bad..

Mine was EXACTLY the same after a 45 minute drive today with the very same outside air temp !!!

Cruising, the coolant is around 180 and the oil just under 200. Rabbit starting and city driving push both those numbers up 5/10 degrees.
