Default Honker Install

Just finished the Callaway Honker installation today. A few clarifications for anyone considering installation. This is in my opinion a quality piece of equipment. The shroud removal is challenging, and best done with some help. You need to access the shroud from below using ramps, jack and jackstands to remove screws, pushpins etc. The shroud does not come out from below the radiator bay, but from above into the engine bay. The rest is easy and it looks great upon completion. Now if the weather here in the northeast will only comply, I will be able to get this thing out on the road to see how it performs.

Order and extra filter and the cleaning kit. That way you don't have to wait for it to dry after cleaning. And if you need a hand in installation, give me a holler, besides I have the rivot tool that is necessary. Bruce

Nice I am still debating CAI I had a honker for my C5 although I never installed but I like the ram air effect of the Vararam. I like the stock look of the honker. Decisions decisions

I installed a Honker in my C6 this past summer. I was so impressed with it that I ordered one for my C5Z as well. The install on the C6 was easier than on the C5 in my opinion. The Honker looks factory and is of high quality.
