I have a 06 Vette and the gear shift is very stiff to shift.Any suggestions on how I can make the shifting smoother. It bucks only going into second, The other gears are stiff and really hard to speed up the shifting process.Oh,this is a stick shift
Sometimes you get that if you don't depress the clutch enough on your shifts or you take too long between shifts. Just some thoughts. You may have a problem with the car, but check to make sure you are doing these things first.

I am pretty sure I have the clutch in far enough, but I will be aware of this possible solution and maybe it is the cure.Thank you for the heads up. Rod
I had same problem when car or temps were cold. A search will show many great suggestions on improvements that are available. Such as ....ROYAL PURPLE syncromax in trans,.....fresh dot 4 clutch fluid... check it out, I saw a major improvement in shifting with these forum ideas. Also check out the 'anti venom" mod for the trans.....
It works better when hot, but mine is still notchy. It's about typical for a Vette shifter, but I believe it could have been designed to be somewhat smoother.
