On the new M6 coupe, I'm going to install headers and a catback. Would it be best to wait for the tune till after I do the above or, can I go ahead with the tune now ?

I think the car would benefit from a good tune both before and after the install you are planning, the question is who will pay for the two tunes? If you are paying and you don't mind spending the money, no problem. Or maybe your tuner will re-tune the car for a niminal fee?
The good thing would be you could do a stock baseline dyno pull, then do a tune with all original parts and see what gains you make, and then after each mod/tune see what they are giving to you power wise.
Let us know what you do, especially if you do a tune before any modding!
