Default Tps

I did a search and could not find what I was looking for. Where exactly are the tire pressuer senors located? On the wheel?

Thanks.

Thank you much for the great pictures! That helps. If you have replaced your tires did you have it done at the dealer or at a local tire shop?

I had mine done at the local Discount Tire, and they did an outstanding job.

BTW, they charged $20/tire for dismounting and getting rid of the old tires, and mounting/balancing the new ones. I also picked up a nail about a month later and they fixed it for no charge.

BTW, even if you are changing rims there (normally) is no need to buy new TPMS transmitters as they can be moved from rim to rim. The only part that needs close attention if you are doing this is to ensure that the sensors wind up in the same position as they were originally, i.e., the RF sensor goes into the rim that will be mounted on the RF. Otherwise a trip to the dealer will be necessitated to "retrain" the car as to what sensors are located where. Of course, if you have a buddy who has a tool, such as a Bartec Trackside, then you are in business.
