Default Header Bolts?

I recently purchased a used set of LG headers and was wondering if I could use the factory manifold bolts to secure the headers to the engine block. I think I probably will use the factory gasket as it is metal, but not sure if I can use the factory bolts for the LG Headers. I am planning on doing the installation tomorrow evening, so please respond if you know.

Also, if you cannot use the factory manifold bolts to secure the LG headers to the block, where can these bolts be obtained?

Thanks a ton for your help.

....and don't forget to use anti-seize compound on the bolts, available at any auto parts store.

Default Thanks for the help

Thanks for the quick replies....I was worried I wasn't going to be able to do this tomorrow evening b/c my mechanic buddy said that sometime headers need special bolts...

I already picked up some anti seize and a o2 sensor socket in response the the very helpful members here.

Thanks again, I will let you know how the install goes, should be painless I hope, my mechanic buddy is helping me.

Here's a link for a step-by-step install for Kooks headers. Might be helpful for a visual reference.

Good luck!

I reused the OEM bolts. Buffed off the factory antiseize and reapplied new. Also reused the OEM gasket. While everything was apart, I also pulled the plugs and applied antiseize to them.

I used stage 8 bolts for a few reasons. One being supporting a local business. But more importantly I know they're not going to move or back out. They also look really cool

I would highly recommend using Stage 8. The best secure way to mount headers.
