Anyone have experience with the magnaflow exhaust system for my 2007 C6. I currently have Borla Stingers on (along with CAI, Kooks LT headers, Kooks high flow cats). The Stingers produce a bit too much interior resonance and drone for my taste. Just wondering if the magnaflow catback would produce the same results.
What about the Magnaflow MagnaPack exhaust? Resonance?
I have the MagnaPak on Dynatec headers - when I first installed them they were STUPID loud. I ended up putting a muffler on it because it was so loud. The drone at 1500 with headers is unbearable. To the point where a drive out for 15 minutes made my ears ring when I got out of the car. I'd steer you away from the MagnaPak unless you want to put a muffler on it.
I used to have the stingers on my car and I've driven a car with the magnaflows. I swapped the stingers on my car for Corsa because of the drone after I added the headers, now im kinda wishin I had stayed with the Borla. Anyway, to answer your question, the magnaflows have no drone whatsoever. The reason for this though, is that they are hardly any louder than the stock system. Basically what the magnaflow system changes is just the tone of the exhaust. It does make it alot deeper (sort of like the borla burble), but it's only ever so slightly louder than stock.

Long tubes and aftermarket cats dramatically alter the sound of your vehicle. We have found that the Borla touring rear sections greatly reduce the interior resonance created by these mods. The part #'s for our C6 touring rear sections are #11745 and #11747.

Are referring to the complete axle back system or just a kit to reduce the interior resonance?
I have long tube headers with hi-flo cats and installed Magnaflows. Lasted about a week, the drone was aweful! Back to stock mufflers and a driveable car. With the long tubes, the stock mufflers have pleanty of deep muscle sound when on the throttle.
