Seat Issues

This may seem small, but it annoys the hell out of me and last night while I was installing my shift light I just about had it. My drivers seat kinda rocks back and forth. I think it has to do with play in the forward back mech. I had it in the dealer and they told me it was fine. It drives me nuts. If you come to a light and stop the seat kinda clunks and rocks forward. When you step on it sometimes it clunks and rocks back. I love the seat, but I need to get this fixed. Anybody have any luck with this. I remember the C5s had something of a seat issue like this.

Yeah, I had a dealer give me the "cannot reproduce issue" line as well. I plan to take it to another dealer.

yep, i have the sometimes rocking seat too...

it was also evident in my year 2000 camaro.....hhmmmm..

Rockin seat!

I had the same issue on my 05. Didnt get it fixed before I got my 07. I would talk to the service writer that wrote your Work Order at the dealer and tell them that you will reproduce it for the technician working on the car. I work for a dealer(another brand), and am a tech. The tech should be more likely to fix the issue if you can show him exactly what you are concernd about. I agree with one of the other posts, that they should replace the seat base frame, as this is common on the cars that I work on. Hope this helps.
