Default c6 with NOS

For you guys with nitrous, please give be some feeback. I'm conisdering it just to have it there if I ever needed. Any problems with it? I just did a small heads and ported cam, fast intake and tuned, and dynoed at 445 rwhp and 417 torque: Just the way I wanted for street use. I wanted it to idle closest to stock and not rough, loping idle. Thats's perfect power for me on street cause I will take to track at the most 2 times to satisfy my curiosity. Next week 3.90 gears and car should be fast. But considering nitrous as backup in case I needed and is fairly cheap. Your feebacks are always appreciated. Thanks.

Your post tells me you want nitrous, however your title implies you want a NOS system. i'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that you aren't just calling nitrous "nos" because you've seen that mishap on tv so many times :P

Nitrous isnt that cheap to setup properly...you're looking at about 800-1000 dollars to get a good complete system with window switch, heater, kit, fpss, and a few other things.

If you're interested in a kit pm me, I have a couple for sale and have been using nitrous for a long time, so i can probably answer any questions you have on it.

I put down 456/578 on a NX 100 wet shot. It pulls real good from a roll but from a dig its all sideways even with a 335/30/18 out back.

It was simple mistake on title, I now there are several different systems. I will definitely look you up if I decide to get one.

When I added it found my car couldnt use it below 100mph on street tires. I didnt dyno yet but I have no traction in even part of 3rd on the shift without it so the car cant use it below 3rd gear. Since it has limited use on the street I would suggest only a 50 shot and only for use on a drag radial.

recap; you will not be any faster on street tires with 500rwhp+ then you are with 445rwhp. You are already at where a stock car would be with a 75 shot on just motor.

As an alternative mod for your next move would be the saem as my next one: Get the Z06 rear 1/4's and use 18x12 wheels with 345 BFG drag radials for street use. Reminder for those that havent investigated it: drags radials/traction on a prepped drag track will break something. The side wall isnt designed to absorb shock. It is a street set-up.

One last note: You have a 2005 and I hope you went with a C5 rear conversion for the diff. A 'stage 2' 2005 diff from any manufacturer is still the weakest case there is and it is still going to crack with your power level when you fianlly get traction. The garbage that manufacturers give about hardened this and hardened that will not change the fact that the cases are the weakest in corvette history.

Thanks Spinmonster, thats why I ask the question on this forum. I was just thinking about it and it the back of my mind, that nitrous maybe a little bit too much on top of what I have. I'm still learning, I guess tv shows and movies and magazines got me started thinking about it.
