Borla X-pipe question
Can anyone explain why the Borla has a "sleeve" type fitting up near the right hand flange that requires a clamp???
I just bought one (used) and was surprised to see this. Thinking there was something wrong with it (modded etc) I checked Borla's web site and sure enough you can see where the two pieces join and the extra clamp needed.
Just seems odd to me, any thoughts???

The kit I got from the TByrne GP came with an x pipe. I can tell you that yes the right side does have the clamp for the flange. I am not sure why they made that part with one side welded and the other you have to clamp on. 
Maybe to make installation easier?
