LS2 thermostat same as LS6?

Default LS2 thermostat same as LS6?
I have a 160deg stat from my 01Z.
It looks the same on the outside as my 07 and I would like to use it.
Anybody know?

not the same. One has an insert, and the other has the thermostat built into the housing. Get the right one.

True, except for the 2004 LS6s (and LS1s), that one year should be the same as the LS2.
1997 - 2003 LSX motors used only the housing type though.
