when you get the headers just order the off road / no cat x pipe. you should save at least $200.

Can you share your secret on living in California and not smogging your Corvette? I also live in CA and I would like to get away without smogging both of my cars.

I have run them both with and without cats. If you don't mind your car smelling like a '67 big block all the time, leave the cats off. I can't stand it on a driver so I leave the cats on. I even have a catted x-pipe to use on the race car when I need to drive it for a few days during tuning/shake-downs, like after the turbo install.

I have a '67 without cats, of course. Smells up the garage after a weekend drive for hours, way too much for me.

Near as I could tell from numerous dyno runs on what is now a primarily a race car, negligible difference with cats at 350 hp, maybe 3 hp at 500 hp. Your results may be different. Doesn't matter to me, my preference is to run cats on a street car. Car is just less obnoxious to me, the owner.

As stated abov, if sound level is of concern leave the cats on. The difference in power is not much between cats and no cats.
