Default Tire stretching...disadvantages?

So I got a set of LG Motorsports, they are 18x10 and 19x11.

We got the factory size C6 tires on them, and they fit, but they are clearly stretched to fit.

LG and the tire shop said they would fit ok and they do fit, but I'm curious if there are any potential disadvantages of having the tires strech to fit a wheel like that.

Will they wear out much faster? Any type of performance issues?

I'm already aware that obviously, I have to be more careful about curb rash, but other than that is there anything I should be aware of?

Here's a pic of the rear...

I was told you want a 96%-98% section width to wheel width ratio.

They wear a bit odd but other than that you should be ok with those fitments. I wouldnt track/race them though.

I just put the same wheels on my wifes C6, yes they are stretched a little but I did the same with my 05 C6 and as of now got 14,000 miles on the stock Good Years and they should last another 1500 - 2000 miles before I switch to the new ones i bought last week on Tire Rack...................Manny

what size are the new ones?

I've seen people with 275/325 setup on these wheels and they stick out too far.

wondering if there's something between that and stock that would be more reasonable.

Shock,

I just went with the stock sizes that came on the car, last week Tire Rack had a sale on the rears...just $240.00 a piece. So got the whole set of 4 delivered for $1221.00, I went ahead and had both C6's dropped last week at LG Motorsports, so the look more stealth with dropping em............Manny

Those dont look too bad. Safety wise you will be ok.

I personally cannot stand the look of tires that have been stretched on a rim, i absolutely hate it with a passion that will never end.
