The best part was my Dad never got mad and he picked up the bill. He was a great Father in that way. Very level headed, always did the right thing, and was one of the most generous men I've ever known. I have my C6 because he left a little behind when he passed away. Just wish he were still here, he would have loved "our" C6!!!
One of the best things we can do as people with "life experience" is to keep the young'uns from killing themselves. Looks like your dad knew that as well.
Thanks for you story, and as always honest information and experiences. Glad it's worked out, and hope you'll be giving her a good workout soon as well. Sometimes that old saying is true "Nothing is ever a failure, it can serve as a lesson for next time".
Great thread. I too broke my upper rear shock bolt off doing a slam with aftermarket lowering bolts. Lucky for me I moved the shock out of the way and with a pair of pliers was able to grab the bolt and twist it all the way thru-like pushing an arrow thru, instead of back out. took about 30 min
I was wondering how this turned out. I'm glad you took the time to share with us the out come. Being retired military we use the term "cross tell" to describe the sharing of lessons learned in our daily journeys.
I bet you'll have a new found appreciation for the headers after all you went through.

Absolutely and without a doubt.
I have been driving the heck out of it since getting it back. The car runs strong and there is no sign whatsoever of a leak anywhere in the system.
