thinking of goin with a maggie soon but before i make my choice what other expenses will i be looking at. Do i need to do anything with the fuel system? How long is this stock clutch going to hold up? any other lil things im not thinkin about.
I had a Maggie from Lingenfelter on my C5. 4 years and NO problems. Stock Clutch and driveline. 435 RWHP. My only issue with the Maggie is you have to replace the hood. The C5 hood replacement was actually an enhancement. I would not want to replace the C6 hood, so I am looking at another direction - possibly the 403.
The Magnuson package comes with everything required for the install (injectors, tuning, Magnavolt ect...). As mentioned, the only thing needed is an aftermarket hood. We carry the RK Sport hood. It's just high enough to clear the supercharger -
The stock clutch can hold up for awhile. It pretty much depends on how you drive and if you'll be launching hard with sticky tires at the track.
I see that RK hood is pretty popular is that cause its the only hood out there or is there others? Maybe send a link or post a pic?
There's several hoods out there. George has the LPE hood. I went with the RK Sport however. I tell everyone concerned with the hood. Of the people I meet, 99% never realize it's aftermarket. Only the C6 guys can tell the difference, and not every one of them. Of those that realize it's aftermarket - it always garners positive comments.
The Maggie is a great choice. IMHO - the most fun you can have on the streets with an F/I application.
